Annual labor night in annapolis
The Annual Labor Night in Annapolis is back!
Local 24 IBEW is proud to take part in Union Night in Annapolis, when our members engage with Maryland's elected officials and express support or opposition for legislation that is being considered by the General Assembly. Union Night is an annual event organized by the Metro Baltimore Council AFL-CIO and the Baltimore/D.C. Building Trades Union. It brings together members of many unions, both public and private sector.

Explore labor history Trip
Join the RENEW group Saturday October 15 at 10am for a trip to the Hornbake Library at the University of Maryland College Park campus to explore labor history related to Baltimore, the IBEW, as well as a tour of the the George Meany Labor Archive of the AFL-CIO. The Meany archives were donated to the University of Maryland following the closing of the National Labor College in 2013 and serves as a complement to UMD’s other labor related collections. We’ll also be able to check out the current exhibition on voting rights in the US that makes use of material from the Meany Archives.
*Plan to meet in the Hornbake Library lobby at 10:00. The library's address is 4130 Campus Drive, College Park, MD 20740. Park in the Regents Garage, just a short distance north of the Hornbake Library. Parking at the top (roof) level of the garage should be free on Saturday.*
